Why We Like The Patagonia Black Hole 40L Duffel Bag
The smallest bag in Patagonia's Black Hole lineup, the 40L is one of the line's most versatile options and among our favorites. Its undeniably strong and burly ripstop fabric withstands the wear of globetrotting travels and daily outdoor adventures, and boasts a highly water-resistant construction that's verging on waterproof when we're caught out in the downpour.

The bag isn't the issue
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
It's the masochist who insists they stuff the bag into the little inner bag for shipment. Seriously, I'm sure it goes in somewhat easier than the effort it takes to get it out, but come on. It's not only the frustration but it's a miracle the zipper isn't destroyed in the process. This is the second black hole I have purchased and had forgotten about the hassle the first time. Either stop doing this or just make the interior pocket larger.
