My go to water filter for every outdoor activity. The collapsible bottle stores easily and takes up very little room. Love that I can drink straight from the bottle or squeeze it into another container. The wide mouth makes it much easier to collect water over the Sawyer micro squeeze. I prefer the black version as it feels a little more durable over the regular version

Great for backpacking as it takes up very little space and is extremely light. Used it this weekend, filtered three bottles of lake water for my trip. Glad I bought it!

I switched from the Platypus, to Grayl to this

The flow rate was exceptional and the price is hard to beat. In consideration the cost of filters on the grayl as well as the frequency of changing topped with overall weight; the befree just overshadowed it and really warranted the switch. Do pay attention to care procedures though as that will greatly effect your experience.

Really convenient to have in the bag even for day hikes or in the truck as a safety in case I get stranded. I used it for several months traveling through SE Asia. The inside of the bag did get some slime in it which was easily cleaned out with some vinegar but I never got sick and drank some questionable stuff. Worth it for the convenience and to have as a backup for random situations.

The best

This is so easy to use. I take it backpacking. It has totally replaced my other pumps. The black color is totally worth it because it doesn’t look gross after a few uses like the clear color does. I also brought it to Panama this fall as a just in case precaution but it is so easy to use that it’s barely any extra effort and a whole lot of peace of mind. This is the best invention and left me 99% more hydrated on my hiking adventures because I wasn’t putting off purifying water. I just would squeeze the water straight into my bladder or jet-boil.the only thing to be careful of is that you remove the right part of the cap to fill in the water source.

Great for Go Bag /

This product is amazing. It’s super light and compacts down decently well. I have this inside my E&E kit to use as a water purifying system in the chance I get separated from my main ruck. It’s simple to use. The only negative I get worried about is keeping it safe inside my kit and it not getting smashed. That’s not so much of a product failure or con, I just feel that the top with the filter is probably sensitive and needs some extra padding/storage thought. Reading through the documentation and all the contaminants it removes, I feel comfortable enough to use it if my life depended on it one day.

Just buy it!

Super easy, fast, portable. Used it multiple times a day over multiple days on a Colorado elk hunt.
