Timp 4 Trail Running Shoe
Altra named and designed the Timp 4 Trail Running Shoe after one of the largest mountains in Utah's Wasatch Range. It's ready to take on all fifteen miles of the trail reaching the summit, which has everything from long, flat dirt over some small streams to rocky ridges and summit scrambles. Altra improved the fit this season without altering the zero drop and wide forefoot that we all like about Altra.

Avoid this shoe. Extremely fragile - wears incredibly fast.
My 4th pair of Altra brand shoes and these shoes turned me off of Altra. The webbing material near the sole began fraying within a week, both shoes blew out (ripped completely through) on the flex joint below your small toe. The material and shoe seemed robust when new but they wore fast and look much older than they are. I use them to mow now. Pass on these for sure. I will say they were comfortable - but felt like a waste of money for the quality I received.

Do not use for hiking or anything trail related.
Have hiked 80-90 miles in them and they feel great but are already destroyed. Least durable shoe I've ever owned and I've heard the same from others. Spend the money on shoes that are meant for hiking

Best TIMP so far
I wore all TIMP versions since 1.5 and this is the best one I had in terms of comfort, cushioning and rebound. Toe Box in more tight than the LP.

Premature failure
This is the 2nd pair of timp 4 I've purchased. I use them for everyday use, they are geat shoes except for one thing, the out soles don't last, both pairs did the same thing and I've seen other reviews about the same problem. Not sure I would recommend this shoe because of this problem.

Tongue slides to the outside of the shoe
I've been a fan of the Altra brand since they came out. However the Timp 4 I'm not super thrilled with. The tongue slides to the right side of the shoe. I have to say I like the previous model better

3d pair of Altras disappointing
One shoe lace frayed apart after one week of very casual wear. Noticeably smaller than 2 prior Altras I have.

Comfortable shoe but low quality
Bought these shoes in Prescott AZ while on vacation there earlier this month. I wore them on 6 hikes, 30 miles total, and noticed the soles starting to delaminate. They were only 2 weeks old. Contacted Altra and was told it didn't meet their warranty policy. 2 weeks old! Very unhappy. First and last Altra purchase.

Eases tendon pain in foot
I walk a lot for exercise. My extensor hallicis longus tendon always gets sore in other running shoes. But never if I wear the TIMP 4. So, that's all I walk in now.

Super comfie and perfect fit
Very happy with these shoes, I use them primarily as a walker. I would buy again.

Good fit but poor durability
Some of the most comfortable shoes I've had, but started to fall apart in less than a month. Lateral toebox of right shoe started to blow out in less than 100 miles.
