The Vapor's stable platform and large volume offer tons of stability and load-bearing capability without making it handle like a steamship, and the extra-large cockpit has plenty of room to move around and make getting in and out a breeze.
Old Town made sure all-day comfort and simplicity was the name of the Vapor's game. In addition to the ginormous cockpit, the Comfort Flex seat is decked out with extra padding, and there are adjustable Support Track foot braces to give you a stable paddling platform. Great Kayak
Great kayak for beginner to intermediate. Very stable. Tracks well. Glides through the water with minimal effort. Nice adjustable rake on the back of the seat.

Solid boat for the price
Great all around boat. We buy them for our canoe / kayak rental fleet. Great and dependable boat that is perfect for beginner paddlers. Works good in class I & II rapids. They are pretty tough and take multiple years of rentals with little need for maintenance.

easy handling
I have had this kayak for four years and continue to be glad I bought it. Small enough that one person can load it onto my little truck and be pulled around on my two wheeled cart. I weigh over 200 and am 5'10' and it's plenty comfortable. I paddle on a large (for Colorado) reservoir and it's pure fun.

No complaints
Bought this as an alternative to my Discovery16 fir days when I’m river-ing solo. So far I’ve covered about fifty ‘river miles’ split between the Shenandoah, the Rivanna and the James rivers. It paddles well, holds a ton of gear and is tough enough to handle rocks, etc. while paddling in rough spots. As stable a kayak as I’ve ever been in.

Go for it

This kayak is awesome for lake or lazy river paddling. I've had it since 2015 and wanted this specific model so I could bring my german shepherd along. He fits comfortably with a rug I bought separately, so his paws have some grip on the bottom. I also really enjoy the ample room for my pack, fishing gear, legs, in addition to the rear cubby that has a suctioned lock to keep things dry or to use as a cooler, live well, etc. I like the paddle strap that secures my paddle when I want free hands, without the fear of it sliding off. The seat isn't built for luxury, but it does the job for me even after several hours, especially with the adjustable foot rests. This watercraft doesn't have a ton of extra bells and whistles, but it's not basic and I love that it's not flimsy, like many of the cheaper models I've seen. It's durable and roomy, without being too bulky or long to store easily. And at 10ft in length it's just short enough so I don't need to register it with the state DNR (Minnesota). If I could change one thing about this kayak, I would make it a bit lighter. I can handle it just fine as an average sized, out-of-shape, 5'7", thirty-something y/o woman, but after a long day of being on the water, hoisting the 50-ish lb boat onto my mini van can be cumbersome in comparison to a daintier boat. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this kayak. Go for it, especially if you have a dog.

First Kayak
I am new to the sport. After getting dizzy looking at specs of various kayaks and their purposes, I chose the 10XT. It is a VERY stable and as other reviewers have revealed, easy to enter and exit. This kayak can turn very quickly and although tracking could be better (with a longer version), this one is ideal for use in lakes and reservoirs of Utah. I also love the cherry red with black coloring. built in paddle rest is a plus, dry storage is quite large. I added shark's teeth decals to the front to give it some character. While a little heavy, I can easily get it on and off my SUV (using the Malone Auto Racks SeaWing Stinger Combo carrier).

Red Vapor XTs
We purchased 2 Cherry Red Vapor XTs recently and are really enjoying them. They are extremely stable and maneuver well. The extra wide cock pit and extra padded seats are definitely worth it. The kayaks are very easy to enter and exit. We have used them on a river and in an ocean bay and they perform well.
