Why We Like The Weston Grizzly Carbon Ski

It is our opinion that creativity is at its highest when the snow is deep. Nothing encourages us to explore these creative thoughts like the Weston Grizzly Carbon Ski. This 120mm ski uses rocker in the tip and tail to keep us stable and on top of the snow so that we can smear turns, butter off cliffs, and slash wind lips with ease.

The Grizzly is a powder hungry monster. It tours great for a 120mm underfoot and very light for its size. There is no amount of snow that slows this thing down. Its stable at speed and loves to log airtime. For those who think this thing can't handle the groomers you will be pleasantly surprised. Its multi radial sidecut makes the Grizzly act like an oversized GS ski. Highly recommend

I like to call these skis my “Landing Gears” as they have allowed me to ski out of the deepest and gnarliest landings where most skis would fold or break. They are super lightweight for how burly and rigid they are, which makes for an even easier uphill experience. I utilize the CAST system with heavy Pivots on these and they are still lighter than my other skis with pin bindings. Absolute beauty of a ski and will be in my quiver as long as they make them!

These aren't the first ski I go to because of the waist, but I know I'm going to have a good day when I do grab them! I haven't skied a pow ski that you can open up on like this, but still feels super nimble in the trees. I think it's a result of the variable sidecut, whatever it is, it works! These are surprisingly cambered for a pow ski, but are super fun and playful despite that. That camber comes in handy when you get variable snow, or groomers/cat tracks if you take them to the resort. Probably wouldn't be the only ski I owned (although I'd honestly be pretty happy if that was the case), but an incredible ski for the deeper days

The grizzly has been my go to year round ski for years! It's got Great stiffness underfoot to hold an edge or ride out those flat landings. While still being insanely light for a 120mm underfoot ski. Super durable also after taking them for many early season tours and they returned with barely a scratch! The camber and rocker profile is excellent to help you hold an edge on the firmer stuff too! Get this ski!

The Grizzly skis great in powder! With 120mm under foot they are hard to sink. When matched with the pomoca z clip skins they are super easy to transition. These skis are even great on edge thanks to some healthy side cut!

Incredible touring pow ski

This ski is fun and durable. Feels great on the uphill, unlike other pow skis, and rides in a very forgiving, fun, cruiser way on the down. If you like a looser, fun feeling tail while being really stable underfoot this is the pow ski for your inbounds and touring days. I wish they would make a 190cm.

Stiff enough to charge and light enough to tour on all day, these skis are awesome. They could be a bit lighter, but for a 120 underfoot (in the 186 length) ski it is reasonable, and so worth it for how well they ski down. In everything from powder to zipper crust and chunder these skis rip and just ask to be pointed straight down the mountain. They are a bit difficult to maneuver in couloirs (but makes sense, they are big skis) and they really shine in open tree skiing and big faces. These skis like to go fast.
