Why We Like The Colorado 75.5L Dry Bag
Whether we're trying to keep water away from our dry gear or hoping to keep all of our wet gear separate from the dry goods, the Watershed Colorado Dry Bag is the right choice. Welded seams totally eliminate water seepage while a 'zipper-less' ZipDry Seal provides a water-tight seal at the incredibly wide opening.

Best waterproof river gear bag made.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- Colorado
I bought my first Watershed Colorado bag in 1996 or 1997. I’ve used it on 13 Grand Canyon trips and many other white water trips. That original bag is still in excellent condition. It’s never developed a leak through the fabric/skin and I’ve never had a drop of water penetrate their ingenious seal. I purchased this new Watershed bag to offer friends in need of a gear bag on my ongoing rafting adventures. The new bag has fabric a bit thicker and sturdier feeling than the original. I tested it on a 3- day Deschutes trip recently and not surprisingly it performed flawlessly. I’ve been a professional river guide since 1967 and the Watershed bags are far and away the best whitewater gear bags I’ve ever used. I love the easy opening and closing and the wide entrance to ease inserting large items like sleeping pads. Both my Watershed bags are loaned out and in use on a private Grand Canyon trip as I write this. I would recommend Watershed bags unreservedly as a first choice.

Checks All The Boxes
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
River rafting, camping, backcountry skiing—this bag can do it all. My stuff always stays dry; with hard points on the bag to easily secure it—I’m 100% recommending this bag. Buy it.

Great dry bag for river trips
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Just took it out on a 5 day river trip in the San Juan in Utah. Bag performed great. Contents stayed dry while being strapped to the raft and it didn’t break. Which is more than can be said for other campers in my party who opted for dry bags from other brands. Their seals separated from the bag and their stuff got wet. But not my Watershed bag. Highly recommend this brand. The seal and closure system is easy to use and very secure.
