We dig the Roan Bib Pants for their added coverage that comes in handy on chest-deep pow days or slushy park laps with only a hoodie on top. The V-Science fabric shields us from wind and snow thanks to its waterproof laminate, yet remains breathable on warmer spring days as we explore the mountain.

I absolutely love these bib pants. Have only ridden with them once so far. In Vermont in wet but relatively warm conditions. they were waterproof but nicely breathable which is exactly what I was looking for. I really like shells as opposed to fully insulated pants because it allows me to layer to whatever the conditions throw at me. Size seems right on the money. I'm 5'-9" at 190 lbs and a 35" waist (yeah, I'm a chunky snowboarder who has yet to meet an IPA he doesnt like) and the large fit me fine, close fitting but not too snug and a good range of motion. plenty of room to layer up with a thicker base layer if needed. I will be taking it out to the powder in Whistler BC at the end of January where I expect the 'zip-tech' will really shine and thats the primary reason I got these in the first place.

After a few seasons of restitching and re-DWR'ing my beloved Holden Skinny Pants, I decided it was time to go for pants that 1) offered more coverage above the belt line and 2) a better range of motion for touring. Simply put: these delivered. I've clocked 7 resorts days and 1 mellow backcountry tour in these so far and I LOVE THEM. I was worried when I first received them because I'm a pretty thin and lanky guy and while the Small fit me fine I felt like I was swimming in them, but this has actually been a surprise benefit for flexibility with my layering; I forgot my jacket at home one day this season and since the bib covers a lot of the chest and almost up to the armpit area, I was actually fine in a fleece-lined flannel. I horde snacks, mints, chapstick, mini-tools, lighters, etc. like a squirrel and the dual kangaroo pockets are a great catch-all for smaller items you want to keep safe yet accessible. The straps can be a little awkward to adjust on-the-fly, but they're comfortable and often forgotten once I have the fit dialed.

Saw some other reviews from tall guys that purchased a Large. Was still skeptical cause I?m 6?5 and most Large snow pants have some weird tight spots. But the bib design with these is super nice and has plenty of room. These fit perfectly. Super Lightweight and plenty of extra space for baselayers. I?m relatively skinny though: my waist size is 34. If you?re my height and have a big butt or weigh 225+, I bet you?ll wanna upgrade to XL.
