Equipped with a Boa Focus closure system, two reels operate three specific zones for a truly custom fit and high-level support where you need it most. Keep the upper area tweak-friendly with a softer flex and tighten the lower area for increased heel hold, or simply crank down both reels for the utmost in response and tightness. A Flex Control System allows you to fine tune your flex with removable tongue stiffeners. You have the option of keeping both tongue stiffeners in for the highest level of response possible, or you can remove both for a little more freedom when taking mellow laps at the resort.

Inside the guts of these boots you'll find a Custom-X liner, which features a dual-density, heat-moldable core. Adjustable C-pads grab your heel much like a suction cup to prevent heel-lift. This liner features Dri-Lex fabric for moisture management and outstanding abrasion resistance. Setting the foundation for your entire riding experience, these boots feature a V-4 EVA footbed with compression-molded multi-arch support for high levels of comfort and support. Vans has crafted these footbeds with high-rebound EVA impact relief pads in the forefoot and heel for shock absorption when sending huge airs and stomping landings. Airflow perforations throughout the footbed itself vent your feet to prevent unwanted sweat and moisture build-up.

Providing the rugged traction needed to hike up sidecountry ridges, these boots feature a V-Hex outsole with an aggressive hex-lug pattern. An UltraCush midsole is coupled with ImpactSorb dampening in the heel. This acts as a cushy landing pad and reduces chatter when going balls out on big mountain terrain.
