When people say they're "all thumbs," it usually means they can't manipulate their fingers precisely. If a massage therapist tells you the same thing, get them to work on your body post haste; they must have some powerful digits. Trigger Point Performance Therapy's TP Massage Ball is a way to get strong thumbs to dig in to your sore muscles without having performed daily massages for years.
TP is short for Trigger Point. This massage ball is like a human thumb, with a soft exterior and hard core. Use it to work your trigger points. The core of the ball self-models easily enough, meaning body pressure will take it out of round, and thus it will offer broader, more customized pressure than a harder material would. You should use this ball to massage your body, either by using body weight and gravity or your hand. It can be as simple as placing it in the palm of your hand and using gentle pressure to roll it against your muscles.
The ball can be used on its own, paired with another ball, or added to their Starter Set or one of their Performance Kits. It's easy to use it to loosen any tight, sore spots just about anywhere on your body. The small size makes it easy to use in small spaces, like when you're stuck in a seat in a car or on a plane, and it's easy to travel with.

Mixed opinion
I had bought my first massage ball from this brand about 5 year ago, and never had a problem. It opened after a few year of using it for my upper back and shoulders and loved it. I decided to replace the old massage ball about 4 months ago and the 2 first layers came off after 1month of using it. So i don't know what to think, it went from a good product down to mediocre product. Is it a manufacturing issue? Ant57.

Loosen those hips!
Great tool to get into specific areas - especial in the hip joint area - to get extremely tight muscles to release and get pain relief.

This ball is the perfect size and hardness to get to all my back muscles I can't reach - just put it between me and a wall, and let 'er rip.

Seeking relief from my trigger points
I first used this by recommendation from my son, a personal trainer. He explained to me the importance of stretching and releasing my trigger points to achieve a better overall workout. I also have neuromas on my feet and this helps me tremendously. Thank you. In addition I purchased for a friend and both my sons.

Perfect For Deep Tissue
I’ve had this ball for over 2 years. I tend to get really tight muscles in lower back and hip/pelvis. I use it to dig deep into and around my hip and pelvic muscles. Laying on my side I’m able to dig deep into the Piriformis muscle and all Glutes to loosen up the SI Joint.

Small enough to really get into divots, sturdy enough not to squash

Hi, I saw the question here about the ball being made from EVA. I'm wondering if the EVA you use contains formaldehyde? Thanks.
