I have an arthritic foot that limits my walking, so I have an endless search for shoes that will allow me to walk farther with less pain. I've had decent success with Ecco and Salomon, but these have helped more than any others I've tried. Great for light hiking, I'm in Arizona so not being waterproof is not an issue. I do have the WP version as well, similar but heavier, more supportive, but less cushiony than these. This is my second pair, though the first are doing just fine after 2 months of nearly daily use. They run wide but slightly to the smaller side in terms of length - perfect for me to allow heavy winter socks comfortably.
