If you're an all-weather commuter, you're probably familiar with the old song and dance of wrapping your laptop in a trash bag, wrapping that trash bag in another trash bag, slipping that whole mess into your pack, and finishing that package off with one more trash bag. Timbuk2 knows the rainy commute well, so it designed the Especial Vuelo Backpack to stand up to even ruggedly wet weather, so your electronics, gym clothes, and other gear will stay bone dry.

The Especial is made from nylon ripstop tarpaulin, which is fully waterproof and plenty tough enough to use every day. Depending on the volume of gear you're packing, the top can either roll up or seal with hook-and-loop closures, so you can lug up to 1526 cu in of stuff. A removable sternum strap and hip belt give you some extra support, which you might need when you're toting a 15in laptop, two water bottles, U-locks, and daily necessities in the Especial's many pockets. Even when you're riding had, the pack's ventilated mesh shoulder straps and back panel will help you stay cool and comfortable, and the integrated reflective accents will make sure cars can see you before they run you off the road.
