look more rugged then they are
These are great looking boots that have an adventurous feel. The sole is more lightweight than you would expect from the upper. The contrast stitching is nice. They lace up high which makes them good for fall/winter, along with the waxy finish. They don't breathe very well, and the fit is slightly loose. This is probably so you can wear them with thick socks. I probably wouldn't use them for serious hiking, but they are fine for light trail duty and urban adventures. Overall, a versatile shoe that can get dirty aand clean up well. Wish Timberland made them in a chukka, which would be great considering the lightweight sole with a slight drop.

The best boots around
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get these for my husband for work. He always ends up wearing them out but timberland is the only brand that lasts for a long time. He works in construction so on his feet building all day. They protect his feet and work great for them. Usually I get him a new pair every year.

Not what is pictured
I have two pairs of these from past years and I love them. I ordered two more pairs and was very disappointed, so they were returned. The color is not what you see in the picture, they are much darker brown.

Very Comfortable Boots
Typical use for walking around and stylish look when I'm dressing casual. Love the comfort for long term wear and just out on the town. No fatigue or heel discomfort.

Stands Up
I've had my pair for four years. They've stood up to daily wear. The only part that is damaged after all that time is the top rim which is due to putting on/taking off without messing with the laces. I care for them with saddle soap and golden mink oil, and they're absolutely gorgeous. Seriously appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of these boots. I get so many compliments on them.

They fall apart
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got a pair and within 2 months they started falling apart. No excessive wear, never got wet, just normal use. Worked with the warranty department and got another pair...they are falling apart too. Stitching in the leather is just coming undone. It happened on both pairs.
