Fat Tire Kit for T2 was easy to install

- Fat Tire Kit for T2 Thule
I converted from regular mountain bikes to fat tire e-bikes and the Fat Tire Kit was easy to install and works really well holding the e-bikes on the Thule bike rack.

Great addition to my T2
Adding the fat bike adapter was quick and easy. Front tire tray fits my wife’s 4.0 tire perfectly( but the rear ladder is too short.) the bike sits snuggled in the rack with the help of a quick draw strap.

Does not work with Rad Power Bike
Rad Power bikes are super heavy (70 pounds) and the rack supports the weight but the arm just does not hold the bike well enough to prevent the bike from rolling off. Luckily I discovered this while parked, instead losing the bike while driving around a corner.

Disappointed
First, despite a bicycle having two wheels you must purchase two as only one comes in a package. And secondly, these don’t fit all the bike rack bars Thule makes. If your bar they slip onto is the correct size and you follow the directions for strap use these work well. I returned mine due to second point. I would recommend if you understand the above.

Works , after adjusting
Out of the box , it needs strap adjusted by removing the strap and putting it back externally. The wheel hooks are still far to short . I unscrewed and pulled it higher and screwed back in ( only one screw now ) Now it fits my 5” tire . It still rubs my fork unfortunately.

works great!
needed this kit to get my fat tire bike on the carrier. read some review where folks thought the straps were too short. when i received the kit - there were instructions on how to setup the strap for use with a fat tire... and it works perfectly. the strap is plenty long. for me - this product does exactly what it says it would do - allows a fat tire bike on the carrier.

Read instructions!
So we just got this kit for my husband's new fat tire bike. We were so upset that the strap wasn't long enough for the tire and was going to send it back. Well, come to find out that if you read the instructions, it is totally adjustable. No issue here, just read instructions. Strap is plenty long, all you have to do is open the case and there it is!

Issues with fat bike tires
I have the Thule T2 Classic 2 - 2". I bought the aftermarket fat tire wheel tray kit. Unfortunately my tires are 29.5 inches tall. The hook will NOT lock in place. I also have a very short fender on the front tire. Without deflating the tire, I'm not sure what options there are to lock the hook down.
