Just about anything we need for an overnight backpacking trip can easily fit in the Thule Capstone 50 Backpack. This minimalist backpack is great for when we're looking to move fast without being weighed down with a bunch of needlessly heavy gear.
The pack's MicroAdjust suspension system allows you to customize the fit, while its tensioned backpanel provides support and breathability on those hot mid-summer trips. When the skies do turn gray, pull the detachable rain cover over the pack to protect your gear from rain. Two access points at the top and side grant access to gear, without you having to empty everything else out in camp or by the side of the trail.

Versatile, Lightweight, and great fitting
There is so many things in this pack that may not jump out at you right away, but its their attention to detail and including all the little things that impresses me the most. You never realize how nice they would be until you are on trail without them. I did a few short trails with it, the harness is very comfy, easy to adjust, and carries the weight really well without shifting or slipping. The versa click belt is really a nice option, i bought the extra camera pouch and that works really well, but i have used the pole holder more and that works amazing. no more taking your pack off to get to or store you trekking poles. the back outer pocket is huge and holds tons of stuff where its really easy to grab, but when the lid is on it wont let anything fall out. i really like the fact this lid does NOT come off, i have had other packs in the past and if you have too much weight in the lid they will slip or shift while you walk. this is stable stationary and holes quite a bit as well. again real easy access. the trekking pole loops in the back actually work really well and wont slip off the poles. the eyelets for carabiners is a great feature as well. the angle on the pockets were perfect for holding 1 liter smart water bottles, and you could actually grab them and put them back without much effort. i easily fit a weekend worth of food clothes and water along with a 1 person tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, air pillow, jetboil stove, and my basic first aid etc. if i put my tent underneath the pack on the straps you could really manage enough room for even 4 to maybe even 7 days hiking depending on how much food you eat. just the pack alone dropped my base weight 3 pounds from my previous 65 liter pack. making a few more adjustments to my gear i was able to shed about 6 pounds total.

Great Comfort!
I got to test this pack out on a 3 day backpacking trip on the Black Forest Trail. The pack was initially a bit tricky to adjust and made a few creaks, but once I got everything locked in place it was very comfortable. The one thing I didn't like was that the hip belt was a little large. I am a 32in waist and I had the belt cranked down all the way. A slimmer man may have issues especially if they are too tall to go with the women's version. There are much lighter packs I was looking at (I primarily fastpack), but the comfort of the pack was well worth the extra weight.
