The North Face engineered its Terra 65 Backpack with the easy-to-use Optifit suspension system to give you a fully adjustable fit before you hit the trail for a weekend. The back panel, hip belt, and shoulder harness have a good amount of padding to give you a more cushioned ride on the trail. The Buckle on my Hip Belt snapped immediately
I loved it on my first hike through Glacier National Park. 10 steps into my second ever hike with the product, I tried to tighten my hip strap and the buckle shattered.

Long-time Satisfied User
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a North Face Terra 65 in 2014 as a bargain backpack to meet the unique requirements of a non-standard military unit I became part of. For almost ten years, the Terra 65 stood up to the test of being used and abused in a vast array of different climates in remote sections of the world. After my retirement from that line of work, I decided to take up backpacking and the Terra 65 continues to meet all the requirements I need. I've used it on trails across the country and I am still in love with the simplicity and functionality that gives the Terra 65 a classy look on the trail. I have no problem organizing my gear for easy access to things I need at a moment's notice. The heavy-duty materials used in this bag's construction give me peace of mind when it encounters obstacles and abuse from airport luggage handlers as well as difficult foliage and terrain that I feel would otherwise rip lighter, more expensive bags. I could on about the other features but if you really want to know, I'd say get one and find out for yourself. The only cons that come to mind are the weight of the pack. While it's rugged and after 10+ years of hard use is nearly in the same condition as when I purchased it, it's a penalty if you're trying to keep it light. It's not that much of a penalty, but this isn't the pack for you if you're trying to do UL. The other thing I've found dissatisfaction with are the shoulder straps. I'm a man with a larger frame and the shoulder straps will bunch up or roll up and cut into my side. So, unless your trail nickname is "slim" or "twiggy", pay attention to how you fit and size the pack and be prepared for some discomfort. It's more of a nuisance than a deal-breaker but it is still a factor to consider when looking at this pack.

Upgrade in features. Would recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sturdy. Love the storage. Especially, the new pockets around the waist band where I can keep my phone/camera for easy access. The bucket pockets on the side for water bottles is big and versatile. I had the an older Terra model and this is definitely an upgrade with all the new features.
