The Thermoplastic Laminated Carbon Fiber (TCF) shell has a high strength-to-weight ratio, enabling it to maintain rigidity without weighing you down. EPS foam absorbs and distributes shock to a larger area than was hit, and Impact Shield inserts add even more shock absorption to the more crucial zones at the front and back of the head. MIPS technology takes on the rotational forces of a glancing blow, reducing what gets transferred to your head and neck. An Occigrip turndial fit system lets you dial in a customized fit, keeping you comfortable for long days on the slopes.

Really heavy

I wanted to love this helmet as it looks great, it's very well constructed with high quality materials, and is highly functional. But it's incredibly heavy, weighing about 10 oz more than my current helmet. That's a lot of weight to carry on your head all day. Other than that, the helmet was a bit small for me: I typically wear an L in Giro helmets, or an XL in most others. Purchased the L-XL and it was a bit tight: upon further inspection I see that it is 2 cm smaller than my L Giro helmet. The buckle is innovative (great job on this, Sweet Protection!), as others have noted, the audio integration is perfect, and the helmet appears to be very high quality. Were it not for the weight issue, I would have tried to make it work.
