Why We Built The Cloud Camp Bed

Camping doesn't have to be uncomfortable. We made the Cloud Camp Bed as Stoic's comfiest option for car camping, and it uses plenty of foam to offer all the cush you need to sleep soundly. Its soft, stretchy fabric has a TPU coating to protect from wet weather should you sleep outside the tent, and the bottom is reinforced to stay solid on rocky grounds. We also included a stuff sack to pack it as compact as possible.

Best camp sleep yet!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

One size

I bought two of these for my wife and I to try as a reasonably priced upgrade to our car camping gear. I've been sleeping on nearly 20 yr-old ThermaRest base camp pads for a comparison, but I was very pleased with the Stoic Cloud Camp Bed. It was very comfortable, and I found myself waking up less and sleeping better. I'm only 5 nights in, so it's too soon to comment on longevity or durability, but the initial quality seems good, and the comfort is great.

Big, awesome, and comfortable!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Used this a handful of times now. It is totally comparable in comfort to the Nemo and exped versions for 1/3 of the price. Seems decently durable as well. It is quite large, and I wish they made a 6ft version so it would fit in a truck, but it fills the space nicely in my Big Agnes Tigerwall 2. I will also probably get one of those tiny chargeable pumps for it. It self inflates fine with an additional breath or two for additional firmness, but in order to get it back down to a packable size, you kinda need a vacuum. By hand I can pack it down to just about the size of the bag with the straps on, but not quite small enough to fit into the bag. Using a vacuum it can pack down to nearly half the size of the bag which is a pretty significant difference.

Gargage

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Loved this thing at first, very comfortable. But in a little over a year the valve started leaking around the bottom where it is not fixable. Now I have a giant piece of plastic garbage.

Two Time Buyer

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I absolutely love this bed! I ordered the double cloud camp bed and have put it through the ringer. The only problem was that it is too big (takes up lots of space packing and too big when car camping. Which is why I bough the smaller version. I'd say it is 1/3 or 1/4 the size which is much better for packing and use in car camping. I just wish it came with a washable sleeve to slip it into and i can do without the color (would have preferred the beaver fur color). Its so easy to use you'd easy over think it. Buy it and enjoy the best night of sleep you can get outdoors. Best part is you don't get rocked when you dog moves like you would with an inflatable.

Not that comfortable

I bought this because I’m a side sleeper most of the time and I also toss and turn all night. This was sooo uncomfortable and then it did not inflate all the way, so I used my flex tail to try to put so more air in it and the flex tail is definitely not made for that type of sleeping pad, because it’s suppose to self inflate. I will try it again on my next camping trip. I going to invest in another portable inflator to see if I get better results.

Ordered the Single Cloud last minute and was very pleased with it. Set-up was very simple (open the valve and make sure it is in a position to "receive" air). Arrived at the campsite late and was in a rush to go to sleep, so I did blow into the valve a bit to speed up the process. The pad was ready in less than 5 minutes, I'm not certain how long it would take if pad is left alone to fill itself. The pad remained firm through the 3 nights and it did not need any additional adjustments. This was a pleasant surprise, especially compared to my prior experiences. It is comfortable and the size was perfect, I did not roll off of it at any point. Lastly, rolling it up was pretty easy, flip the valve to allow the air out and roll the pad up to ensure all the air is out (apply pressure as needed). Unroll the pad (it'll be pretty flat at this point w/ all the air out) and roll it up again for a tight roll and to let any remaining air out. Tie the pad w/ the ties that are provided. Not sure how long this will last (should be a long time if last camping trip is any indication), but I would definitely buy the product again.

Perfect for car camping

I bought this on recommendation from Renee Roaming and it is absolutely perfect for sleeping in your car. I didn't even notice the gap between the rows of seats I was laying over. Wider than my backpacking pad so it feels more like a luxury. It comes with straps to hold the roll so you don't even need the bag but I had absolutely no problems getting it back in the bag. I'm 350 lbs and it was so comfortable. The only thing its lacking is instructions on how to inflate but a quick YouTube video helps with that.

An inexperienced 55 year old female camper here. I had absolutely no problem with this camping pad. I removed the valve cover and it started filling up with air all by it's self. ( The little pin wheel side showing ). when it was finished inflating, I tried it out and it was so comfy. To deflate the pad, just open the valve cover again, flip the valve to the solid side, ( it doesn't come out, it just turns). Fold up the pad in sections, using your knees ( body weight) to push the air out. When you get to the top, unroll it, then start rolling it up again, from the bottom, rolling tightly. Then replace the Velcro straps that comes with it. Now it will easily slide back into it's sack, with no struggle at all. I did it on the 1st try. It does not come with instructions but I just gave them to you. You are very welcome. I love this sleeping pad. It's awesome. For side sleepers like me, you won't roll off of it just by turning over. It's wide enough.
