Very warm gloves. Probably the warmest I have ever owned. Not waterproof in the least though, so they get 4 stars rather than 5.

A Very Good Mitten With Limited Utility
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- XL
I bought a pair because they were on clearance. By the looks of it Stoic isn't going to make more but these are awfully good mittens. I suspect I've never owned warmer gloves, and I'm impressed by the quality. There's a huge caveat, though. It's the absence of more gripping and/or durable surface on the palms and finger area. This means you can't grip very much, as in I need two hands to safely hold a coffee mug because they're slippery. It also means that low impact activities like driving will contribute to the speedy wear and demise of these mittens. I'm giving four stars anyway because these mittens are near perfect for certain activities. They're overly warm at 32°F/0°C unless you're pretty much inert but these will be going with me to Christmas parades and other sedentary Winter activities. They are good for driving at 0°F (my heater core needs a visit to the mechanic) but I fea worry about the risk of damage to the fabric. Bottom line is I love these things and I'm going to take care of them because they are absolutely perfect for a few things I do every year. If I walked in subzero weather - or maybe hiked - these would be good there, too.

Cozy but funky color
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Bought these to use for driving on cold mornings and got the "shortbread" color so I don't lose them against the black interior (it's happened before). The color is hella ugly, I can't describe it. It's not off-white, it kinda looks like when you buy store brand butter and it's very pale...lol. Anyway, they're cozy and they'll work for my original intentions so I'll keep them. But the color does not spark joy. In the pic (butter included for reference), there are shadows. IRL they're much closer to the butter color.

Sooooo Cozy!!

I bought these bc I needed a nice warm pair of mittens for brushing snow/scraping ice off of my car on cold winter mornings (and gripping that ice cold steering wheel when I'm driving), and I'm happy to report that these worked perfectly! My hands were so toasty that I almost forgot how much I hate scraping windshields. These tucked nicely into my jacket, keeping snow out of my sleeves. The only issue I have with these is that the palms were a bit slippery, making carrying my coffee to the car a little challenging (to be fair, I was also carrying a 32oz hydroflask + sneakers for the gym + phone, which might have added to grip issues). If you need some warm mittens, then these are your new BFF - I personally will be wearing these all winter long and for early spring camping/adventuring/winter trailgating.
