We took these on one camping trip and will not take them on another. We got them in hopes we could use them stacked to save floor space in our tent on a 5 night family camping trip. Stacked they were too tall touching the top in the tent at the sides. We had them down for the rest of the trip as individual cots. In the car they took up a lot of space also. The couch function puts a bar directly behind your back in a way that is not supportive and not comfortable. We have a set of disc-o-bed cots for our kids and would sooner reccomend their product over this one.

Well built. Better design than the other brand
The bunk cot competitor is simply unaffordable for the average family with 4 kids. I was so super excited to find the stoic bunks, especially on sale. Each cot is 3lbs heavier than disco bed and breaks down to twice the size, but I think I would still prefer Stoic. The steel is thicker and the design and setup is simpler. The cot cloth seems thicker than the disco cloth appears in photos. Big differences Height: - disco cots are 11" for the bottom and 32" at the top. They can fit in a minivan stacked. - Stoic cots are 20" at the bottom and 50" at the top. They can't stack in a van, but are much more comfortable for sitting down especially in the couch form. -Stoic has a twice as much room under the bottom bunk. - At 50 inches things stowed on the top bunk are harder for toddlers to get to (though not impossible.) - The frame of the Stoic provides a place to hang jackets and backpacks. This is super helpful when organizing the winter gear of 4 children. Weight limitations: - Stoic holds up to 250 lbs., which works for our family. Genetics make it likely that the kids will be less than 250 lbs, even as teens. - Disco is more flexible with up to 500 lbs

Heavy and Sturdy, Good for my Purposes.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought these for the kids, I have a large tent with a large footprint and the kids slept great, have used them camping about 12 times now. They are heavy, but they are sturdy. Each cot comes in its own bag and weighs about 36 pounds. They take up a decent amount of room in a vehicle so be prepared. They are perfect for my purposes and the kids love them, had to set them up in the house a few times for sleepovers in the basement. I was concerned about the plastic parts of these cots, but the plastic parts are a hard plastic and not flimsy at all. The cloth material is thick and the velcro is good quality. The couch conversion part is a little odd to sit on. but pad the back with some sleeping bags and your good to go. The kids climb and play all over these and the way it's designed and the weight of the cots, I have no fears of it tipping. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

Nice idea...but...
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
This cot is very sturdy. Parts to the cot are made of steel and should be very durable. Unfortunately, because the parts are made of steel, this cot is EXTREMELY heavy. 36 lbs for EACH cot. Bought this cot trying to reduce the footprint for my kids' sleeping arrangement in the tent, but it is not feasible to bring this camping if you need a dolly to move it.
