The Steripen is super easy to use, and it greatly simplifies water the process of making drinking water safe.

I recently purchased the Steripen Ultra UV Water Purifier, and it has quickly become an essential part of my outdoor gear. This compact and lightweight device is incredibly easy to use, making it perfect for hiking, camping, and international travel. With just the press of a button, the Steripen Ultra effectively purifies water in under a minute, ensuring that I always have access to safe drinking water no matter where I am. The UV technology is impressive, and I love that it doesn't alter the taste of the water like some chemical treatments do. The OLED display is clear and informative, providing real-time feedback on the purification process. The battery life is also commendable, allowing for multiple uses on a single charge, which is perfect for extended trips. However, I do wish that the charger was updated to a USB-C port rather than the outdated USB-mini port. A USB-C port would offer faster charging and greater compatibility with modern devices. Despite this minor inconvenience, the Steripen Ultra UV Water Purifier is a fantastic product that I highly recommend to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient water purification solution.

Great idea haven’t used it

In theory it’s a great tool to have. I brought it on an elk hunt and ended up using something else as this was my backup. So I never fully got to use it other than at my house as a tester. But I’m sure it works fine.

Very easy to use. Personally I enjoy having the rechargeable option as opposed to the battery version. It was hard to tell when the battery was going to go out. It is also easier to use in water bottles with a more narrow openings compared to some of the other designs.

Great addition to campin gear

used for camping and hunting trips. would recommend.

A must have for a backpacker, hiker, traveler.

I used this product many times during back country camping and hiking trips to purify water in my personal water bottle, while on the trail. it is compact, easy to use, fast acting and performs. For large volumes of water use something like Katadyn Gravity Filter. Because this product is compact and easy to use, hiker with any level of experience can use it. Safe drinking water is a must a successful outdoor adventure.

Best options to make suer clear water is safe to drink. Love it!

Central America approved

So easy to use I thought I’d get sick drinking water out of mountain streams. No issues. Inadvertently had to drink out of a stagnant pond, tadpoles and lots of animal “signs”. No problem.

Great product. I used it several times to purify water with. It works!!!

Perfect for dodgy water

I relied upon a UV pen to treat many liters of water on the Inca Trail hike and in my hostel in Cusco, and neither I nor my companions had any GI issues. I have had the same great results in Mexico and on my tour down the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. And- it makes a nice gift for adventurers, even children, because it’s simple to use: submerge in relatively clear water, press a button, and stir. I carry extra batteries, but have never had to use them on a trip, and the case gives me confidence that it will survive in my pack.
