Holt Jr. Helmet
If your little ripper disappears into the park every time you ski together, get him the Smith Holt Jr. Helmet for some much-needed parental peace of mind. The Bombshell ABS shell and molded EPS foam liner are what you want in between your kid’s noggin and all the trial and error that comes with winter sports, and the skate-inspired design is what the half-pint shredder wants to rock when out riding with friends. The AirFlow Climate Control makes sure he stays cool on the warmer days spent hiking the rail line, and AirEvac ventilation reduces goggle fog by routing air from the forehead out the top vents. The Holt Jr. doubles as a skate/bike helmet in the summer because of an included convertible pad kit and the removable goggle clip.

Good not great
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Goggle clip snapped off before we even got to use it. It’s cheap plastic and the screw doesn’t even go in 1/4”. Other than that it seems okay but the fit and comfort could also be better. Will be upgrading it next season.

Odd size compared to other Smith Jr
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- S
- Weight:
- 65
This helmet is very round/wide compared to the Zoom Jr. It is noticeably wider which makes for an awkward fit. Could be good if your kid has a notoriously odd shaped head.

Children's small was outrageously oversized. Doesn't fit well.

This Helmet saved my son today
I got this helmet for my 3 year just a few weeks ago. Today he was going fast down the road and hit a pothole and went directly over the handlebars, face planting into the street. I was right behind him and he hit his face/head really hard.. I couldn’t believe it when I picked him up and he was completely fine!! Not even a scratch. The little lip of the front of the helmet took the hit and saved my son. Thank you Smith Optics for making quality helmets for kids.
