Retractor

Fingers crossed on pin assembly

Haven’t used it yet as I am out of the country. I do hope the pin assembly has improved and I don’t have to epoxy back into place like my last two. Time will tell.

I really do believe simms carries the best product out there .. you get what you py for sure

Simple and resistant in general. Perhaps the quality of the material could be improved by the metal clasp. In case of snagging with bushes, it gives way.

Nice... until the cord detaches from the housing. Hopefully some glue will fix it.

Retractor

I have had several cable style retractors. They did not last. These have been performing better than I thought they wold, a great product.

Simms Retractor

The retractor part works well but the safety pin section that attaches is poor. Lost iPhone over board due to safety pin coming undone. Some how I had knocked it undone. Needs to be fool proof like all the other Simms gear.

I can?t be fumbling with things I have dropped in the water to only disappear. Expensive sunglasses to hemostats. Simple effective automatic solution. Put it on a cord. This is my multiple order for this very item. Mechanical options are good till They crap out. This has yet to fail on me. I keep buying more to add to replacement chest packs that need retraction solution. Don?t question it. Just buy it use it for its intended purpose and maybe for things you need otherwise.
