Great Backpack
Just the right size to put everything inside, very light but sturdy still.

Dry Creek Z Backpack
I the Dry creek Z back pack after I slid off a rock and went in the river, I had to drain my Fly boxes and gear. I compared this to a similar fishpond pack a friend has. Pros: It fits well with all day comfort it has good side pockets for a water bottle, a good net holder, the outer pocket is nice, two internal pockets help divide contents, good molly webbing on the waist straps, Good main cargo holder, able to fit extra layers in it after the days warm up. Cons: there is no way to use the lower pocket to hold an extra rod with out buying an additional strap to hold the top secure. the outside is tight with 4 spare spools of tippet and a pack of weights( but I use the small maxima leader spools). The internal pockets are too deep and should be divided. there maybe should be an accessory pack for the back internal pocket that would hold leaders, weights, fly boxes, indicators>>>). No internal phone or key pocket. Not many options to hold forceps on cutters on shoulder straps, the one provided ends up on the top of your shoulder making it hard to use. the waist belt where molly straps are could be a bit longer and come around a bit more. Overall I still like the pack and use it frequently.

Great waterproof Pack
Really enjoying using it in the salt water, zipper is smooth and easy to use. I like the side storage pockets great for Big water bottles and also for carrying rod tubes The only thing that needs to be added are straps on the side lash points.

Really good bag for hard rainning day and swimming into the river 😀
Great bag. I tried it solid, I fell into the river with water up to my neck and the contents remained very dry. very efficient and very solid manufacturing

Solid pack as advertised
Bought this as an all-around pack while on the go. Recently used as a boat bag for a winter float and it was plenty big enough for my boxes, extra layers, and water bottle. Everything stayed dry, the exterior side pockets were clutch, and the pack was comfortable. My only wish is it were a bit more structured so it would sit up better on its own, and think it would look a little more refined. Overall, great pack!

Dry Creek Z Backpack
Great size. Very well made. New zipper is a big upgrade, especially when exposed to saltwater. Removable waist strap could be used as a wading belt in a pinch.

Awesome backpack!
This backpack is awesome! The addition of the side pockets is great and the additional and more roomy pockets in the backpack are perfect for keeping gear more protected from wet elements. Every time I wear it on the water, folks comment that they would like one of their own.

Check out the zipper on this bag!
First impression is this new zipper. This waterproof zipper is amazing, very easy to pull and lock. This alone is a significant improvement and worth the money. The pack fits great and is the perfect size for a full day on the flats. I inflate the pack and wear it on my chest to swim out to bonefish flats that require a swim. The pack stayed completely waterproof. Nice work on this one Simms

It would be better without the outside pockets, like it used to be.
I need a backpack to go fishing, not camping. I need the z sling but backpack, something small, that can hold a big net, super simple and dry. Almost like the old dry creek z backpack but a bit smaller and without the bottle pockets, don’t worry, if I want to carry a bottle of water I’ll put it inside or hook it to the pack. Thanks!
