Perfect Ti Cages For A Ti Bike

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Great looking tubular titanium cages in a traditional shape, perfect for my classic Ti road bike. They hold water bottles securely, but bottles are still easy to get in and out, no rattling. Titanium tubing does not mar or scratch water bottles. The fit and finish is fantastic, the four tiny welds along the mounting plate are perfect, as is the barely noticeable weld that closes the ends of the tubular titanium cage. There’s also a wide vertical adjustment possible on the slotted mounting plate, I lowered the rear cage all the way, which makes it easier to get to taller water bottles. Yes, they’re not cheap, but they should last forever, and Silca guarantees them for 25 years. The only downside is that there were no included Ti bolts, which were included when Silca first introduced these cages, but are no longer included with the current “V2” design. Silca makes their own Ti bolts for the cages, with a wider low profile head and a unique design, I just ordered those separately.
