Whether you're thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail or are just unwilling to let wet weather put a damper on your weekend camping trip, the Sierra Designs Men's Rain Chaps will keep your lower half dry at the jaw-dropping weight of just four ounces. Designed to be worn with the Elite Cagoule Jacket, these ultralight rain chaps provide coverage from your thighs down to your boots.

A light, two-layer shell in the thigh area and a three-layer fabric throughout the rest of the pant provide exceptional protection from rain and wet foliage alike. Adjustable webbing allows the chaps to be secured to any pair of pants or shorts that have pockets or belt loops. Binding at the top of the thigh prevents moisture from running in through the top, and a wide over-flap with rain gutter puts the death knell on any would-be water that would try to wander through your britches. When the skies clear, simply stow them in the included stuff sack and throw them in your backpack without adding a bunch of weight to your load.
