Shimano’s Dynalast technology delivers you the most precise and comfortable fit with the most effective power transmission. The XC51 features a glass-reinforced polyamide sole that offers you the perfect combination of stiffness and flexibility, which translates into more efficient pedaling and a versatile, springy platform that's ideal for run-up sections. In addition, the polyurethane lugs (and the optional toe spikes) provide excellent traction in the sloppiest of conditions. Shimano uses a durable, stretch-resistant synthetic leather for the XC51’s uppers and incorporates mesh panels for improved ventilation. The XC51 also has an armored toe for added protection and longevity. Shimano’s insole comfortably stabilizes your heel, and one ratcheting buckle and two hook-and-loop straps let you dial-in the perfect fit.
