All good
Tough bag! This bag has carried my gear on the back of my adventure motorcycle over 50,000 miles, through sun, mud, and rain including 10,000 miles across the African continent! It's one of those pieces of kit you never think about because it just works. Would totally buy again. My only wish is that the latches on each end of the roll were anchored under the bag so I could cinch it down when it's not fully packed. In this case, you may run out of strap to pull the ends down tight. Also, these end straps don't always keep their position. The strap can feed back through these and loosen. But it's only when the bag is lightly packed.

Bag to keep items handy in the raft
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 40L
- Height:
- 5' 9"
- Weight:
- 190
I finally purchased one after having shared my buddy's bag for several rafting trips over multiple years. I go on 2 week rafting/fly fishing trips in Alaska and love the smaller, 40 L size to keep items handy that I'll likely need during the day (first aid kit, raft repair kit, rain gear, an extra layer of clothing, etc.) Easy to attach to the top of our load via the carry handles or with a carabiner. My buddy's bag has spent several months on various rivers in Alaska and also on numerous floats on Montana rivers and it's never had any type of problem. I like it for the small/medium size, durability, and it's much easier to add/remove items vs many "traditional" dry bags which are deep but with much smaller openings. Glad I finally bought one for myself.

Motorcycle travel
Motorcycle travel. Very nice bag. Great for all-weather conditions. Love everything about it except the buckles at each end of the roll. I think the attachment points should be lower or under the bag to ensure good tightening when the bag is partially loaded. They work loose with the current design.

Great for Basketpacking on my Bike!
Great bag! Nice and spacious inside, adjustable straps allowing you to carry it by hand or over the shoulder. I use this for my bike commute- it fits nicely in a Wald 139 basket and the clips on the side/rolltop allow me to secure the bag to the basket quite nicely! My only complaint is one of the snaps on the handle is super hard to unsnap! maybe that will get easier, but a minor thing when everything else about this bag is spot on.

My third SealLine bag
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I have two other SealLine bags. Both baja duffels. Tough as freaking nails. I've taken one of them on years worth of motorcycle trips. Always dry, never lets me down. This one feels a little less tough. Like the material isn't as thick. Maybe it was wrong of me to expect it to be made similarly. But I did think it would be close. Not to say that this isn't made well. It appears to be. Everything looks fine. I hope it lasts as long as my baja.

Great for ""storage"" but not as a carry duffle
Well built and great to store items on a bike or car, but missing a few features to be carried by hand or opened often: 1) It does not have a exhaust valve. This is likely an advantage if it is strapped to your fender driving across Bolivia, as it is one less thing to break, but it is also an annoyance if you are simply using it as a carry duffel - each time you open it you have to carefully bleed the air out of it when rolling it else you end up carrying a giant balloon. I carry it on a sailboat and hate opening/closing it to grab something out of it. 2) it does not have good attachment points to sling it across your body or over a shoulder. It is designed to be carried by the handles (like a grocery bag) but it does not have a long longitudinal strap like many typical athletic duffel bags to sling over a shoulder (largely because of the design, where the secure points for the roll are at the ends.) I've created my own by attaching a long strap between two of the anchor points on diagonal sides of the bag, but it is not comfortable to sling over the shoulder because of where/how it attaches. Netnet: bomb-proof bag, very well built. Great for ""strap it to your xxx and go to heck and back"". Wide mouth is easy to get into and navigate the contents. However, not so good (design, not quality) for a gear container you will carry over a shoulder and open/close on a semi-frequent basis. Would I recommend it? Depends on the use you intend for it.
