Jibbing is a sweet science, and just like no scientist would hit the lab without all proper pipettes, beakers, and Bunsen burners, no self-respecting park and pipe skier would spend all season on powder boards when he could be riding the Jib TW Ski from Scott. If you're wondering what "TW" stands for, no one knows for sure—all we can say is that these boards were designed with input from a fellow named Wom Tallisch. Wom requested that his skis be built with 3Dimension sidecut, which has variable turning radii in the tip and tail to let you adjust turn shape with ease and carve like a lunatic into takeoffs, and a straight section underfoot that provides serious stability at speed, along with the ability to pivot on a dime and serve up 9 cents change.
The Jib TW has a light and poppy wood core that's toughened up with a Titanal inlay that keeps it torsionally stiff and helps it stand up to rail abuse. Built with a sandwich sidewall construction, the TW is equal parts light and durable, with reinforced steel edges and a high-speed base to ensure that you don't short any step-ups or air-to-rails. The edges are even set at a 1.6° angle, making the TW easier to spin and less likely to catch on rails. There's a reason Wom eats gold medals for breakfast, and it's not just because metal is a nutritious and delicious way to start your day.
