Ribelle Tech OD Mountaineering Boot

There's a fine line between moving light-and-fast and feeling like you're alpine climbing completely barefoot, and the Scarpa Men's Ribelle Tech OD Mountaineering Boot treads that line with a performance inspired by the late-and-great Ueli Steck. Scarpa's new Sock-Fit Plus integrates waterproof, breathable OutDry and warm Primaloft insulation in a seamless, stretchy, superlight gaiter that balances fast-moving performance with absolute weather protection. The external upper is burly, rugged, and surprisingly well-ventilated. Underfoot, the Ribelle features a complex series of Vibram rubber lugs as well as a light, supportive midsole and compatibility for semi-automatic crampons.

Worst boot ever

Familiarity:: I've used it several times

Not waterproof or even resistant. AT ALL. Hope you like cold wet feet in 20 minutes. Takes DAYS to dry out. Lace fastener slips, breaks, tiny can?t be used w gloves. No lace locks to prevent slippage without it. Velcro lace cover is lame and negates a gaiter, sock fit thing straps tore off after 3 uses. Insulation makes them tight inside so size up. Let?s see what else is wrong w them.... oh the price. These are useless absolutely useless

Not waterproof at all

What else is there to say? Feet got wet after a 30 minute walk in wet grass. Unacceptable for mountain boots. Also too hot for summer, not warm enough for winter, very limited useage range. They don?t dry out either you?ll need to purchase electric boot dryers unless you like mildew. Oh and no way to connect a gaiter at the laces if you should want something taller than the built in one. First pair of these I got were ripped at the top of the bootie maybe someone else tried them on, so take lots of care pulling them on don?t use the loops to be safe. Overall Pass on these.
