Stable and highly cushioned, the Saucony Guide 17 Running Shoe provides comfort and support for our runs, walks, and everyday life. The engineered synthetic mesh keeps things light on our feet while Saucony's proprietary PWRRUN foam weighs in lighter than conventional EVA foam with plenty of bounce and cushy comfort. The Guide also adds a stability platform to support overpronators and help us run safely and comfortably. The new Guide 17 includes several updates, including a wider base, higher sidewalls, and lower 6mm drop.

Light weight comfy trainers
Nice lightweight trainers which I wear for the gym. I should have down sized as seen in previous reviews, but are ok for my use .I still feel well supported.lm not a runner so I can't comment on wear and tear etc.

Worth every penny!
Great trainers! Fit perfectly and give a lot of support. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and these trainers have really helped. None or hardly any pain after exercising. Finally found a pair of trainers that are wide enough and are comfortable

Disappointed in Guide 17
I bought the new Guide 17 shoe for the support and stability it has given in the past, and found it to be perilously unstable while walking and light jogging. Tried to return it but could not as it had been worn. This Guide model was redesigned fr a previous version of same also made for running, and the redesign was so drastic as to be unrecognizable. Be careful out there!

Great shoes and cushion!
I love my Guide 17s. This is my first time wearing Saucony and they are great for running/dance cardio!

I wanted to like these, because I need a stability shoe with a rocker, but these shoes are not it. It gave me peroneal tendinitis. Wish I could return these.

I wish I loved them…
I bought this pair of Saucony Guide 17 to replace my Asics Kayano 28. I read that Saucony is more breathable and stable. Unfortunately for me, it is not the case. Since I started using Saucony my knee pain restarted and I don’t find them breathable at all.

Better than the shift!
I was a big fan of the endorphin shift and the guide 17 was suggested as a replacement . So glad I took the advice, love them even more!

Won't buy again
They look good and are comfy, but are really stiff around the middle in comparison to their predecessors and I picked up an ankle injury, possibly due to strained dorsiflexion motion as there's a lack of flexibility in the trainers. Disappointing when the design changes so much between models.

Love Guides but this pair has left blisters
I’ve worn Saucony Guides for last 15 years plus in running several half and 5 full marathons with no issues. Bought the 17’s in November and wore them once and got a blister on left inside heel but was wearing new type of socks so blamed it on the socks. Haven’t worn them since until yesterday. This time I wore my regular running socks and again wore a blister on left inside heel after only a 5 mile walk. I have no issues with my other running shoes. It’s just the left shoe, no issue with the right. So only worn twice and blister on left foot each time.
