Why We Like The Saucony Guide 17 Running Shoe
Saucony replaced the heavy and bulky medial post for their Center Path Technology in the Guide 17 Running Shoe. This new tech brings higher sidewalls and a wider base that offer inherent stability without needlessly altering our gait, and the sole's new flex groove pattern in the forefoot maintains flexibility despite the increased stack height, giving our strikes more cush while also smoothing out our transitions.

Best shoe EVER.
Quite frankly the very best shoe I have ever owned. Looking to actually purchase a second pair just to rotate them and prolong the life of the shoe. I have awful plantar fasciitis and these cushioning and support of this shoe is unparalleled. I have owned Hoka, On, Boork, Diadora, Nike, and New Balance and NONE come close.

A Ticket to Guide
While I have previously only purchased the ‘Ride’ series of your line-up, I have found that, with Guide 17’s additional cushioning, my existing insole is no longer required. It feels like I’m running on a cushion of air, whether it be sidewalk, asphalt, or dirt. Looking forward to many more months of running with these.

New bulky soles on the 17's!
I run about 16 miles so far in my new pair of Guide 17's. Cushioning is improved vs the 16's. They are much, much, much bulkier than any of the previous versions!!!!! Don't love the bulkiness of the soles. The inside heel is different as well. In previous pairs my heel always wears out the back heel padding pretty quickly... I hope this redesign helps the heel back cushion area not wear out so fast.

Comfort Giving
Very comfortable shoe that has lessened the pain of my heel spur and tendinitis. I need more colors of this shoe. 10.5 regular width fits perfectly.

Guide 17 1st Impressions
This is my 4th or 5th purchase of the Guide series. I basically have been trading them out every year or so and bought whatever the new model was. Initially, I did not like the look of the massive sole - visually very different than previouos versions, it seemed to me. They also didn't immediately feel perfect, as all the others had done. Felt like a different insole shape/size. I was immediately so concerned that they wouldn't work. 3 runs into the new shoes: absolutely LOVE THEM.

Grandson is happy
When my grandson first took them out of the box he was sort of questioning all white foam. He said Ill wear these for practice and my old guides for the race. He wore them for practice and never looked back he actually wore them for his mile got first place. I first got guides because my grandsons were always having heal pain and injuries. Not anymore went through cross country and now into track season feet are good. Grandson happy.

Not a fan at all. When I called and asked for an exchange - not today. Might have to revisit saucony as a go to sneaker. I buy endorphins regularly and told the saucony rep that. They couldn’t have cared less.

the best guide yet!
I'm a fan of Saucony's Guide series. I own the Guide 15 and found the Hollow Tech to tremendously help stabilize my feet (a feature that is now in the Omni series). As such I wasn't sure what to expect of the Guide 17 with such massive changes. After running ~50 miles in them, I am happy to say that they're amazing. At first I found them to be rigid and tank-ish, they do soften up and become more fun as they break in. I find the shoe to be as stable as the previous versions. Also the upper is soft and accommodates my large feet well. Lastly, the shoes are good-looking and I've gotten several compliments when I wear them (I bought the yellow ones). I like my shoes to look good, and many running shoe brands don't make colorful shoes for men. I'm a fan of Saucony's Guide series. Styling and Profiling!
I bought these a month ago and have worn them a couple of times… Once to the gym and then just bumming around… They are good looking, well made, and comfortable.

Great comfort and support
This is my 6th Guide purchase and like the preceding versions, I love it. The support is great for someone like me with really flat feet. Love the yellow/organge colorway - looks sharp! The shoe feels a little heavier than the 15s and about the same as the 16s. Also, the bottom of the shoe feels slippery on the treadmill, however, this has improved a lot after logging some miles outdoors. Otherwise, a great shoe.
