Why We Like The Fluid2 Trainer
Offering a wide range of resistance and a smooth road-like feel—all at an approachable price—it's easy to see why the Fluid2 is Saris's best-selling trainer in the USA. The fluid resistance unit is quiet (64-68 decibels at 20mph), and offers a progressive power curve that increases the resistance as you shift gears and pedal harder, just like if you were on the road. Equip your bike with a Bluetooth or ANT+ speed sensor and you can use the Fluid2 with virtual training apps like Zwift and Rouvy.

Great trainer but the parts are poorly machined
Assembly was quite tricky, none of the parts lined up and a good bit of muscle was required to make it happen

Great trainer
Replaced a mag trainer with the Saris Fluid 2. It's has a smoother feel, better resistance and doesn't require a cable to adjust it. Its very solid.

Upgraded
Went from a Magnetic Wind Trainer to a Fluid Wind Trainer. Was hoping for something quieter than the prior trainer but the sound is basically the same. Having said that, this fluid trainer gives the best experience that is closest to riding on the road. Saris sent the item quickly and packaged it perfectly. I would buy this trainer again and would recommend to any bicyclist looking for a good wind trainer that is priced decently for those of us not wanting to spend a lot to use a trainer inside when there is bad weather outside..

Sturdily Built
Just set up and only used once but pleased with its design. My only quibble, and it's slight, is that the instructions are printed too small to be readily read and interpreted. The illustration of the insertion of the L bolt was misleading and it took me a couple of minutes to figure out the correct procedure. Otherwise, a fine product.

Ok while it lasted
I got this as a gift and I enjoyed it for two and a half years of moderate use. It was a good workout, and while I wouldn't call it quiet - and it got noisier over time - that never really bothered me. After two and a half years it broke, and I was informed that the warranty covers just two years. The resistance unit replacement is nearly as expensive as the whole thing, so I'll probably look for something higher quality.

Cruising Into the Season
The Fluid2 Trainer was easy to set up and get rolling. The clutch/knob takes the guesswork out of tire-roller contact. The resistance unit is very quiet and smooth, especially when using a properly inflated training tire. Since this is a basic trainer, it is necessary to manually shift gears in accordance with the gradient or speed, which gives a real road feel. I am using GCN training videos which offers a wide selection of programs.

Awesome Trainer
I bought the Fluid 2 as my first trainer. Got on sale at Scheels. This thing is awesome. I’ve been training 6 days a week for 45 minutes each ride with my new Trek road bike. Super quiet and smooth. I bought the trainer tire and a used spare wheel so I don’t have to change tires back and forth. Absolutely highly recommend it for ease of value, set up and use. Perfect for the cold Wisconsin winters to keep moving.

Easy to Assemble
I was very surprised when I finally opened the box, to learn that assembly is not an ordeal. Actually it went very smoothly and took less than an hour.

Super Quiet Fluid 2 trainer
Purchased for myself for Christmas. Watched a lot of reviews and was worried it was going to be noisy but man this thing is super quite!! Make sure you watch the videos on putting it together. The hardest part was actually holding the bike up to get the axel into the right position. Using two people would make it a lot easier.

I see a black ring of rubber on the drum off-center from the midline of my tire. Could this be a symptom of the tension pin being bent from over tensioning? I’m seeing an angle on it slightly over 90 degrees.
