It's Salomon's top-shelf race boot with a stiff design and unbeatable fit to make every kick strong, every glide well-balanced, and every kilometer as comfortable as possible. Salomon used carbon fiber in the chassis, cuff, and sole to provide maximum stiffness and added a long 3D Carbon Skate Chassis that works with a carbon skate plate to provide unrivaled stability and lateral stiffness. The S-Lab Carbon Energyzer Cuff improves balance, kick energy, and rebound, so you spend less effort pulling your ski back after a kick.

The power and energy of the Vitane are unbeatable, but they'd all be for naught if it didn't fit properly. To make sure that's not an issue, Salomon designed the boot with a Dissociated Quicklace system, which employs two separate drawcord closures that let you adjust the forefoot and ankle separately for the best fit. A ratchet over the forefoot prevents slop and energy loss, and a buckle over the ankle ensures a responsive fit and prevents dead zones in the cuff. There's also a Second Skin Custom Fit liner that's designed to be heat-molded to your feet for unbeatable comfort and performance, and a seamless zippered lace cover to keep snow and water from freezing your toes solid.
