Super comfortable!
I bought these a year ago and have worn them many times. They are my go-to hiking boots as they are the most comfortable boots I own. They are rugged and have gone bushwhacking several times. My feet do not get wet in them. The fabric on the outside will retain a bit of water. The sole has great grip. My feet are a bit wide and these give ample room. I hope they keep this style around so I can get another pair once mine wear out.

Comfortable
Love these boots. I've worn them hunting quite a few times already. Never once complained about feet hurting, especially during gruesome hikes.

Great but the blisters.
Great light boots but wore them 5 times already and still getting blisters at the back of my heel. Tried insoles and moleskin but nothing works. Not sure how to correct this.

Great Hiking shoes for the winter
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Originally got these shoes for hiking the Narrows in Zion and the watery conditions but they also work great for winter hikes and snowy conditions. It runs narrow so you will have to break them in and if like toe room 1/2 size up.

No good when they get wet!
i bought these boots about 6 months ago for all my dog walking around the pennines and was initially loved them. They are comfortable and light as advertised but since discovered that when they get wet on the outside the fabric holds on to the water and seems to spread it around the inside and outside of the boot through capillary action. They withstand wading through pools of water i.e are waterproof and have no signs of those tell tale pinpoint leaks, so I can get home with relatively dry feet, however when I leave them to dry overnight on a heated floor (21oC), next to the dehumidifier, in the morning they're still soaking wet through on the outside and the inside of the boot is now also soaked throughout, which means I can't wear them the following day! It takes about 4-5 days to dry this synthetic boot on a heated floor in summer!? So I need 5 pairs to wear on rotation for my daily dog walks if I'm to start each day with dry footwear? That's not good! This is clearly a fabric design issue. A great shame, I've worn Solomons for 30years without an issue.

Pure love
I purchased the competitor's hiking boots (for over 10 years because they were the best hiking boots). Then when I became vegan, I had to look for something else. These hiking boots had no leather so purchased them. While they were a bit higher than my other hiking boots and were a bit more stiff, they are now my favourite pair of boots. Even though I still have the other hiking boots, I always go to this pair to wear. SO I realized it was pure LOVE for these boots!

Happy Feet!
They took a little time to break in around the ankles but I love the advanced chassis and roomy toe box. As with all GTX shoes, breathability is as good as can be expected with a waterproof membrane. Solid when carrying a full pack and helped to reduce foot fatigue. I've used them so far mostly in very wet, muddy spring conditions and they held up well. The outsole is medium for traction over slippery roots. Good job Salomon!
