Great Hiking Boot

This boot is great looking and exactly as described by Salomon. The quality and look of the materials are high end. Cushion is a little sparse. I use mainly on flat trails so I haven’t challenged them much, but they are great! I’m a size 9 in this brand when I wear mid to high cushion socks and this boot was no different.

I used it a few times hiking. Shoes are comfortable and well made. Hopefully, they will last long.

Truly what it claims

I've taken out these babies for a few dusty trail hikes ranging from 1 - 5 hours. Didn't test them much with water but they kept my feet from getting dusty, my feet stayed happy and the width was truly wide and my bunion didn't get bothered! I'm impressed with the boots. The cushion is not distinct like the Speedcross but they were more than adequate and kept my feet happy. I appreciate having great boots that I can truly enjoy. I was able to fit my orthotics in the boots too. Thank you for the great design.

Great quality and Comfort

High quality boots, very light and comfortable from out of the box. I am usually a 9 and i had to exchange for 9.5. Boots are sturdy, with a great grip and waterproof. Although i have not tried them in drenching rain just on a wet trail but they performed beautifully. Great cushion on the the mid to upper boot but my heels felt comfortable as well. The toe box is roomy. That is one if the features i appreciate the most . I think this boots will be ideal for my upcoming mix terrain long distance walk.

I was given the Salomon Odyssey Mid GTX Hiking Boot by Backcountry, but this is my personal opinion. I followed the instructions on the Salomon website which told me to buy a size 7.5 but they were big. I returned for my normal hiking boot size 7 and they fit great. These boots work on technical terrain, running, hiking, and in the rain. I have put 100+ miles on them, and they are still going strong. The insert may need replaced soon, but I can probably get another 100 miles out of them. The wide toe box lets my feet breath even though these boots are very water resistant. After 5 miles of hiking in the rain, my feet were still dry. They took only a day to break in, and I had no blisters. These are my first pair of Salomon shoes, and I will probably buy again. I would definitely recommend the Odyssey Mid GTX Hiking Boot to anyone looking for an all-around outdoor boot.

Salomon did it again

I normally like low boots because I like them to be light/not clunky... was looking for a mid boot so decided to try these and they are AMAZING! Lightweight, supportive, water and mud proof, and super cute. So excited to take these on more hikes. Also didn't need to break them in-- started off on a 6 mile hike-- so comfy!

Major Stability, Fast and Light

I was given these boots to test out, and upon opening the box, my initial impression was that these boots are cool. Not only are they super light, but also very comfortable. I broke them in on a 12 mile hike with only a little foot fatigue around mile 10. They are easy to get on and off and are stable around the ankle. I am normally a size 6.5 to a 7. The size instructions told me to go with a 7.5 so I did, but should have went with my gut and got a 7. Exchanged the shoes for a 7- and they are perfect. Nice spacing in the toe box. Very breathable, and with 8 water crossings, noticed no wetness.
