Why We Like The Salomon Cross Warm Softshell Pant
We don't have to be stuck on the treadmill for our winter training sessions thanks to the Salomon Cross Warm Softshell Pant. The 2-layer, DWR-treated fabric seals out nasty winter weather and wicks sweat away from our skin to keep us dry all season long. The backside of the fabric is brushed to trap a layer of warm air against our skin so that we stay warm even on those pre-dawn runs.

..Could be a bit cool...
...just be aware that this pant is Hybrid fabric construction( Windstopper only on front/ breathable Power Stretch fleece on back) , NOT Windstopper front aand back as one could first assume from description/photos. Fine for hight aerobic output on a cold day, but a bit cool if output is moderate and temps colder ( say -10c and colder...). Fit however is true to sizing recommendation/chart.

Incredibly comfortable
I've worn many running pants over a span of 12 years, and these are the best I've ever had. They are incredibly comfortable! I don't feel restricted by them when running in the cold, winter weather. Moreover, sweat doesn't accumulate inside. Although I usually wear a size medium, the large was a better fit for me. You can't go wrong with these winter running pants. I'm about to order my second pair now!

Warm SOFTSHELL
Had the item for several months. I use the softshell 2-3x a week. Very warm. Good for stretching. Good for biking.

Great pants - small pockets
I loved the pants and have used them extensively- great fit , feel and performance. My only grievance is the very minimal pocket - so small that phone for example does not fit. The pocket has a nice zipper but even +1cm all around would help - as it is one can squeeze with some effort a small iPhone in - but it is really too tight. Otherwise a 5 star product for all those who are not bothered by this particular feature

I love everything about them
I purchased the Salomon Cross warm softshell to replace a very old Louis Garneault soft tights that I used to use for running. So far, I've used the Salomons for Cross Country skiing, hiking and walking on cold days with a base layer long underwear underneath. What I like + The fit - not too tight, not too loose and loose in just the right places for X-country skiing + The side zips to allow the bottom to go over my X-country ski boots - (I can sometimes avoid gaters) + The material and warmth To improve -The mini side pocket is only useful for lip balm

Looks and feels Great
I've been using a side zip pant for cross country ski instruction and decided to try these pants. Needed a warm pant and not skin tight. This has been perfect. I wear a thin tight underneath and this has perfect combination in negative temps and windy conditions. Another plus for me is that they aren't pitch black (so common) but have a slight blue hue to them. XL is a great fit for 34-36 waist and 32-34 inseam
