The freedom we feel on skis is what draws us to the mountains and the Rossignol Blackops 98 Ski brings freestyle and freeride freedom in droves. The 98mm waist on these skis lets us lay an edge on firm groomers and float through low amounts of powder with ease. This narrow waist teams up with a low swing weight and rocker in the tip and tail to encourage us to spin off natural takeoffs, air over rollers, and stomp tricks in any snow conditions.

Rock Solid, Playful, Perfect All-Mountain Versatility, Rad Top Sheet
Demo'd a pair of the 172cm Super Blockops 98 recently. I was quite impressed at how playful these were while also feeling rock solid through variable conditions as well as hard pack. Really just a great all mountain ski and I fully plan on buying a pair of these at the 182 cm length. I am 5ft 9in + 150 lbs (175cm / 68 kg) and currently ride 173 cm skis. At 172 cm these skis felt quite short, turning them felt like they were 163 cm thanks to the sidecut and ski shape. I found it quite pleasant but absolutely recommend sizing up with these.

So surprised how much I loved these skies
I was so surprised how much I loved these skies! I always lean toward a stiffer ski with metal but I took these out on a powder day fell in love with them! Tried again on a more firm packed groomer day still loved them! Had a couple of guy friends try them and they loved them as well! They probably would not be my everyday day ski but I have a place for them in my quiver!

Super versatile
Demo was so much fun I purchased a pair the following week. Skied all varieties of conditions and ski was consistently smooth. Surprised edging capability on hard pack considering the width.

Garbage Ski - Broke in Half on Moguls
I took these skis through some glades, powder and moguls and one just broke in half. Garbage ski is sold as “high performance” but ultimately is weak/.

Black ops for the win
I got a just to demo these skis and ski everything from groomed runs to fresh 12in of powder. They are easy to ski with the kids but they really turn on when you start to ski more advanced terrain.

Amazing all mountain/freeride ski
Absolutely killer ski for an all mountain experience. Having a full wooden core would make you think that the skis chatter and are unable to charge. This is far from the case. Still stays ‘playful’

Interesting and playful skis.
I really like the ski. It is very easy to turn and playful. It's really a lot of fun skiing. Back country and on the slopes.
