Torque Pant
Quick alpine scrambles, multi-day treks, and cool-weather rock routes all call for the Rab Torque Pant. A combination of Matrix softshell fabrics help shield you from wet and windy weather, while the generous fabric stretch and articulated knees allow you to execute a full range of climbing movements. Plus, the zippered cuffs let you take them on and off over boots, and the DWR coating repels moisture so foggy alpine days and dewy alpine starts won't make you soggy.

Good alpine pants
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- M
- Height:
- 6' 3"
- Weight:
- 190
Very suitable for alpine climbing. Thankfully more robust around the knees and ankles than Patagonia?s equivalent. These should last much longer and are equally comfortable. Very decent DWR, too. Ever so slightly tight around the ankles when fully zippered over mountaineering boots, but that?s much better than a sloppy fit with other pants.
