Why We Like The Prosar Down Short

The Prosar Down Short takes everything we need in a high-performance insulator and packs it into one small package. High-loft down and zonal synthetic insulation wraps our legs in a technical blanket of warmth. Normally, a layer this lofty could impede our mobility, but its knee length and ergonomic cut ensure we can move as much as we want.

Details

  • Lightweight down insulator for backcountry tours and alpine climbs
  • Knee-length design cuts weight and limits restriction of movement
  • Atmos nylon is wind- and water-resistant for all-weather comfort
  • Hydrophobic high-loft down is incredibly light and warm
  • Additional synthetic insulation in the rear for cozy rest breaks
  • Full-length side zips to easily lose a layer during intense activity
  • Included stuff sack for simple storage at home or on the go

Quality Product but Runs Small

Ordered to wear as a midlayer while skiing and hunting. As a 32 waist with thinner thighs, a size medium was a tad too tight on the waist but a comfortable relaxed fit on the thighs. A large would have probably been great on the waist due to the adjustment straps but too big on the thighs for me, therefore went with a different option. Seemed to be a quality product other than not a great fit for my personal sizing and intended use.

Turned out to be the

Turned out to be the most used piece of kit on the whole expedition - light, easy to put on, versatile. Could do with some reinforcement on the seat as the material doesn't like ricks - otherwise a must have piece of kit in the back-pack.

Quality seems great, but I?d recommend going at least one size up in these. I?m between a medium and large in most everything, but I couldn?t even button these in a large. I?d need an XL at minimum.
