Electron Pro Down Jacket
Bringing you the optimal blend of low weight, warmth, and protection, the Rab Electron Pro Jacket fights off cold weather so you can continue climbing or skiing comfortably. The Electron Pro excels on winter ice climbs, summer alpine endeavors, and shoulder-season multi-pitches. Light and lofty 800-fill down insulation equips the Electron Pro with midweight warmth, and Nikwax's hydrophobic water-resistant treatment helps the down retain its lofty warmth in moisture. Rab wrapped up this protective insulation with Pertex's highly water-resistant, breathable, and wind-repellent Quantum Pro fabric. The hood cinches down over beanies or helmets with ease, and Rab added a wired peak to stay out of eyesight while you belay.

I VERY MUCH DISLIKE this jacket!
- Familiarity:

I thought this jacket looked like it would be very warm and fit my needs. It is a "nice" jacket BUT 1) It does not take into account other than "downhill skiing!" The cuffs are VERY tight and do not allow for the use of a "smartwatch," which has to be outside the cuff to be seen for distance running or walking.2) The hood, fitted for a "helmet" is SO large that when pulling the drawstring for closeness around the neck, obscures one's vision and "pooches" out behind like ... a huge bump. I want to return as, even though I "ordered it" one day beyond the 30 days, and it wasn't actually "delivered" less than 30 day ago, I CAN'T. A VERY EXPENSIVE MISTAKE!

My FAVORITE Winter Puffy!

This is my FAVORITE jacket for winter! I hadn't expected to love it so much. I use it for everything! Especially when it's really cold out. I use it for walking the doggo, hiking, or going to the bar with friends. The fit, especially the cuffs, is what I love most. Call me picky, but I feel like a lot of jackets have the velcro adjustable cuffs, that I hate. But this jacket, has elastic cuffs that fit snug and comfortably at the wrist. I'm telling you, it's a game changer! As much as I love it for around town, it also can perform. So if you are looking for an all-in-one jacket, this should be your first pick.

My Go-To Puffy Jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I love this jacket so much, I don't know if I'll ever buy another puffy jacket again. I bought this jacket with cold-weather climbing pursuits in mind, which is what it is made for and really excels at. I love the dual-zipper that lets me belay comfortably off of my harness while wearing it and the helmet-compatible hood. The 800-fill down keeps me toasty at the crag, and since this jacket packs down into its own stuff sack, I even bring this jacket with me on days I don't think I'll need it just in case! (Side note - for those crag cat naps, the jacket in the stuff sack makes a great pillow!) While I initially got this jacket for climbing, this jacket has become my everyday jacket. I wear it climbing, walking the dog, hiking, running to the grocery store -- if there's an opportunity for me to wear this jacket, I'm wearing this jacket! I have even had the chance to test the waterproofing on this jacket, and while I wouldn't recommend it in a downpour, it kept me dry in both a light rainstorm and a heavy snowstorm! Here in Utah, it is important for me to have a jacket that will keep me warm and dry in any condition I'm caught in, and this jacket does it all for me. Plus... I always get tons of compliments on the color! The bottom line is, if you're having a hard time deciding between this jacket and another one, the Rab Electon Pro should be your choice.

Lots of reasons to LOVE this jacket
- Familiarity:

The sleeves are long! And the sleeve cuffs are so comfortable. It feels very warm when I wear it! Which is amazing for how light weight it is. For comparison, I got this to replace the Arcteryx Thorium jacket, and this jacket feels the same weight (even with a hood whereas the one I've had is hoodless) and this jacket feels much WARMER when I wear it. The material feels very durable.
