I refuse to take it off!

I was looking to replace a merino wool hoody with something more durable. I thought a softshell might be the answer, but the model I wanted was unavailable, so I took a chance on the Rab Ascendor Light Hoodie. It's now one of the top-5, no-regrets purchases of my life. It's very thin and stretchy, with a waffled texture. I wear it over a merino T-shirt in temps as high as the low 70s (F) and under other layers below 50F. Toss up the hood and it makes a great combination with a windshirt for a walk/hike in the 40s. I'm actually thinking of buying a second so I'll have something to wear while this one is in the laundry! I'm 5'8", 150 lbs, and the medium fits very comfortably. (Note: Since it's from the UK, the zipper is on the "wrong" side.)

Rab makes the best fleece

It’s perfect. Sizing is great. Wicks sweat. Traps heat. It’s just perfect for active insulation. Love Rab, love this product. Replacement for my filament fleece from Rab.

Perfect lightweight fleece

This is exactly what I have been looking for. This is a lightweight piece that's ideal as a stand-alone top for shoulder seasons or as a high quality breathable mid layer in colder weather. I can't say enough about the fit. I'm 6'2" 185lbs and I struggle to find garments that fit my frame well while also being long enough in the sleeves and torso. This fits perfectly and the sleeves don't pull above my wrists even with my arms fully bent. If you're looking for a lightweight breathable fleece and you've got a slender / athletic build then look no further.
