Loam Dropper Seatpost

Replacing the PNW Bachelor Dropper Post, the Loam Dropper brings many of the same features we loved on the Bachelor with great frame compatibility and a lighter weight. A redesigned stanchion allows less of the post to be inserted in the frame, so more frames can accommodate the dropper post and riders can run a post with more travel. Like the Rainer Gen 3, the new Loam Dropper allows you to customize the suspension travel by reducing the travel up to 25mm in 5mm increments. Finally, an updated actuator boasts PNW's smoothest action ever for better overall ride quality as you hit the trail.

Excellent dropper post

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I am very happy with this dropper post. I bought the Loam to replace the stock dropper on my Specialized Stumpjumper, and then enjoyed the Loam over 7 days on a 240 mile long MTB tour. Great value and price for this 34.9 x 170mm Travel post.

PNW Loam is awesome!!

Have 6 bikes in my fleet with droppers: 3 with Fox Transfer and 3 with PNW Loam and I must say the Loams are the most predictable, consistent and smooth droppers of the bunch. I have had two for a year or more and one for a few months. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Loam Dropper Seat Post

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The seat post has very quick response from the compressed down position which is exactly what I needed when going through rock gardens or rocky terrain on the trails. Excellent purchase!

The perfect dropper

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

First things first, don’t forget to buy The dropper lever/trigger. The dropper is amazing. The ratings are accurate and for the price it is one of the best I’ve ever had. I was on the RockShox Reverb dropper, and this is a huge improvement.

Awesome dropper

Size Bought:
30.9mm / 125mm travel

Awesome dropper with great adjustability. Light too at 462g on my scale in 30.9mm size with 125mm of travel. Hopefully will never need it, but the lifetime warranty is exceptional. On the trail it works perfectly with a snappy return.

Works well so far

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Works well but only used a few times. Let's hope it stays that way. Tried others well known brands but was disappointed.

A great alternative to a Fox Transfer

The PNW loam dropper is fantastic. The price point is much lower compared to competitors, like Fox. Installation was very simple. I also really enjoyed the tool free micro adjust. This is great for frames with tricky insertion depth.

It's the little things.

First off, this is a great dropper post! The tool free adjust is amazeballs for fine tuning the post travel on your bike. The air valve is actually under the seat mount and requires removing the seat and mount so I never adjusted the PSI, I set it to 300psi and its been there since new. It did start to slow down and didn't want to stop where I had it set after about 8 months of use and 3-5 rides a week , so I ordered new bushings from PNW and rebuilt it which was a breeze and now its as good as new again!

Awesome post, no muss no fuss

Works great, easy install, drops when you push the lever and vice versa. Replaces a Specialized Command Post, which I liked but is hard to get service parts for. Note - it comes with a post-side ferrule that holds the cable lug, and then the free end goes up to the dropper, which works great for my wolf tooth lever. If you have a lug-style dropper lever, things get complicated…

Great product until it breaks.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Loved the One Up V2 but this was on sale. Worked fine until actuator just fell off after 2 months. They sent a new one, and a video to fix it yourself. But actuator was impossible to remove with just large adjustable wrench and hand. One Up on other hand was breeze. Wouldnt buy again. *Update: actuator pins fell out again. They refuse to offer refund since its bought here on Backcountry. Buyer beware.
