Designed to pair with your current Shimano Dura-Ace, Ultegra, or 105 left crank arm, this kit provides single leg power readings to take your training to the next level without cleaning out your bank account. If you do decide to make the jump to dual-leg in the future, you're able to add Pioneer's drive side upgrade kit for the full compliment of power metrics.

This system uses a strain gauge to measure pedaling force, direction, and overall efficiency as you ride, and it's right on par with industry standards at +/-2% accuracy. The power meter unit has a sleek profile on the inside of the crank arm, and only adds a claimed 22g to your frame. As you pedal, the sensors capture 12 points of rotation at 30-degree intervals, taking a measurement 16 times at each point to ensure accuracy. By recording information at multiple points, Pioneer is able to deliver a single accurate measurement that takes the entire pedal stroke into consideration.

Riding through significant temperature or elevation fluctuations can wreak havoc on your power meter. Pioneer knows how frustrating it is to have to re-zero your device on-course, and how tough it is to recover momentum lost while you freewheel to let the unit zero. To address this common problem, it developed Zero Point Calibration with Active Temperature Memory Adjustment for its power meters. Essentially, the technology allows the power meter to anticipate and adapt quickly to environmental changes so that you don't lose access to accurate data when you need it most.

The power meter is also compatible with ANT+, which makes using it with your favorite fitness apps or other ANT+ compatible devices simple. To further analyze each of the 12 force vectors individually and gain access to Pioneer's new HDPower Metrics and Cyclo Sphere program, you can add the Pioneer cycling computer to your setup.
