As we traverse fixed cable routes, the Petzl Kit Via Ferrata Vertigo keeps us clipped in safely. The lanyard's elasticized arms and auto-locking 'biners simplify clipping and unclipping, while its short harness connection doesn't get in our way when walking. The Corax harness features two self-locking waist buckles that keep the belay loop centered, adjustable leg loops that easily accommodate our bulkier layers on colder days, and rear flexible gear loops that sit comfortably under our pack. As we climb, the Boreo helmet lets us feel the breeze through its fixed ventilation holes, features a hard outer shell that resists dings and scratches along the way, and doesn't slip and slide thanks to its flexible headband and internal foam conforming to our head.
