Ensuring rugged durability for outdoor use and casual wear, the Penfield 80/20 shell features a tightly woven poly/cotton (80/20) blend for wind protection and down proof performance (i.e., the inability for down to escape through the jacket's tightly woven fabric). The 80/20 shell is treated with a Durable Water Repellent and Telfon coating to repel outside moisture from snow and rain, as well as resist stains for extra freshness.
