Inspired by the kinds of retro Patagonia shells you're likely to find in thrift shops and mom's closet, the Patagonia Skyforest Parka brings modern performance to an old-school design. Made for the fickle, drizzly days of spring, this weather-resistant parka keeps you dry when on-and-off showers plague your commute. The durable and fully recycled shell withstands the wear and tear of your daily activities, and the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating sheds lighter rain when you're out and about on damp days. A drawcord hood cinches tightly to keep you protected from wind and rain, while the drawcord waist and hem let you customize your fit. To keep wind and unwanted moisture from sneaking in the main zipper, you've got a full-length snapped button placket and an internal storm flap, and to ensure that you've got enough storage for all of your daily essentials you've got zippered hand and chest pockets.

My daughter loves this jacket! It's retro and runs a bit large but great for layering. She wanted it for spring skiing - it's a bit lighter weight but she plans to wear this as her main spring coat for school, outdoors, etc.

This is my go-to jacket when I need more than a windbreaker but less than down. I like the fact that it goes below butt level- when you sit on a wet park bench, you appreciate the extra length. Normally I take an XL, but I read the reviews and went one size down. Fits perfectly.
