Classic Patagonia summer shirt

Love this shirt. I'm a huge fan of the old Patagonia A/C shirts. I've probably owned a half dozen over the past 15 years. Problem is ... the thing that keeps them so cool and comfy -- a loose, light weave -- makes them wear out. I hesitate to say they wear *too fast* -- I mean, a decade of wear is pretty good, but they definitely wear faster than some of my other Patagonia shirts. The company, via their repair dept, is great about patching them, but there's only so much they can do for melon-sized holes where they fabric plain wore away. Luckily, this Back Step shirt has the same cut, in a slightly heaver madras-style weave, that feels *almost* as cool as the A/C, with the bonus (I'm assuming here, check with me in a decade) of being something that will last a little longer and wear better. I've got one and I'm hoping to add more to the collection. PS -- Patagonia sizing is strange. I'm really tall and can't wear most of their stuff (pants legs and jacket sleeves too short), but their "summer" shirts always fit great. Not complaining, but dang I wish they'd do more tall sizing and I'd basically wear Patagonia 24x7.

Scratchy

I really had high hopes for this shirt because I’ve had great luck with Patagonia button shirts before. This one is really scratchy and rough and it fits too tightly. Bummer. I’m about 5’ 11” and 210 pounds and the XL fits like a large.

Great to use for work as casual. I like how it fits slim on your body, but I got the xs that fits good, a bit tight, but I like. Gonna try the small and see how it goes.
