The Patagonia Altvia 14L Backpack is perfectly sized for day trips when we're not hauling half our gear closet with us on the trail. The 14-liter capacity can carry our lunch, map, and light jacket while including a built-in rain cover that we can whip out when the weather turns sideways. The Altvia features convenient bungees that carry extra gear or trekking poles outside our pack, two stretch mesh side pockets for water bottles or snacks, and a top zippered pocket with a key clip to secure small valuables.
