Fabulous Protective Headwear that's Versatile

The Warm Fleece Interior keeps you comfortable along with the Weather Blocking Smooth Finished Outer Material that looks polished and stylish all the while your head temperature is comfortable and regulated and breathing away excess moisture. I enjoy wearing The Wind Warrior, it stays perfectly in place and I never have to worry about the Headwear at all. It works great for work and play and just heading out around town in the cold outdoors.

Nice beanie that covers my big ears. It runs very large though. I wish I would have gotten the smaller size.

Great all around protection

I wear it all the time. Just got back from a trip to Utqiagvik (Barrow) and loved it in the wind and on the snow machines. Good cover over the ears.

Warm and windproof

This is not the hat you want for brisk Fall days. This is the hat you want for going up Mt. Washington in winter. Ultra warm and able to shelter your noggin from any amount of wind. The fit is a bit large, so don't be afraid to size down. This is a great warm winter hat for when you really need to batten the hatches.

Decent Windbreaker Hat

Yes, this hat/beanie looks different than other ones I own. It has short ear flaps as you can see in the picture. They don't fold up at all - you have to keep them down. I've used this hat hiking and jogging so far and it's worked well. It's best for temps around 20-35 degrees (F), give or take. And yes, it does cut the wind down a lot. It's breathable, but not as breathable as other hats I've had. Also, it wicks sweat, but also not as well as other hats. However, I really do like it for when I'm out on cold and windy days. Here in Wisconsin we have quite a few days that are in the 30's, and it's great for those days. The sizing is OK, but not perfect. I have a medium size head, and the S/M size of this hat is ok, but a little tight.

Versatile hat. L/XL is a little big for me, but can use it over a thinner beanie when I hike in the the cold an wind. Have also used it when snowblowing to keep the blowing snow off my head. The extra coverage works well for that use.

Great Hat

At first I purchased the L/XL, and that hat size was way to big for my head. I returned it, I purchased the S/M size, and the S/M hat fit my head perfectly. My head circumference is 22.5 inches. It's really well made, and it feels good on the head.

Great hat

Does everything announced. The only comment is about size: only 2 small+medium and large+extra large. Tried the large and it was too large, although I use large for everything. The small+medium fits perfectly.

Love this hat. No matter the wind or the cold, my head and ears are always warm and toasty. Extremely effective at doing what is advertised.

They changed the design

Originally this hat was AWESOME, then they redesigned it. Now materials and design don't match my needs. Reviewing wistfully the original. Really liked the original fabric it had a very short brushed fleece that wears like iron (I still have the original hat and will keep it until it falls apart) . It is two layers perhaps with an inner wind block layer because -10 and windy my head is usually not feeling cold. It is low domed and soft enough to contour to my head. The ear flaps sit snug against my ears and the stretch fabric at the back of my neck is contoured so when I look up the hat doesn't get pushed off my head. The stretch fabric at the back of the neck also keeps the hat on my head even when cutting firewood or tumbling down a ski slope. I donated the brand new hat to the local church it was that disappointing. Bring back the original it was higher quality and a better design.
