I was able to use this one evening in fairly cold weather in a pretty good down pour to keep me dry and wait out a storm while I was still about 10 miles from the car. Worth every penny

The amount of zippers can be overwhelming but once you get use to it its not bad and the versatility it offers is worth it.

Love it so far...
So far, ive taken it winter Xc skiing up in the Boundary waters and it's great. Using a synthetic -20 bag, I didn't see any compression to take away from my heat which was great. This is my first bivy but the zipper system seems like there's a ton of zippers. One thing I'd love to see is a place to roll off up the bug netting and tuck it away. Otherwise It's just there to deal with. So far love this little shelter.

Awesome Bivy
Great bivy, quite roomy for how small it is packed. Nice and warm when the outer shell is closed, and very easy to set up. Just got back from 5 days in the Everglades with it and had zero complaints.

So far, so good
I've used this bivy twice since I purchased it and I'm pleased so far. Using user ratings to make my purchase, I noted the comments about the many zippers. Therefore, I studied the zipper set up when I started and that helped a lot. I still intend to buy a similar-sized tent footprint to reduce the risk of damaging the floor with use.

It's good, but not good for me, here's why...
The gore-tex material is waterproof and windproof. If you can get into this bivy, you have much greater chances for survival in harsh, wet, cold and windy conditions. The quality is top notch. Adds a lot of warmth. The reason why this bivy does not work for me is mainly due to the size and how difficult it is to deploy in the dark when I am cold and tired. The zippers require warm, loose fingers and you will want to practice setting up this bivy before using it in the field. Setup time for this bivy can be very long and for a human of my size (6,1", 235lb, 36" waist, 48" chest), it is so tight that you must zip yourself in with both arms, being careful not to bust the seams. I hope OR can make a single layer, simple version of this bivy, where the zipper is in the middle like a duffel bag, in an XXXL size. I need something I can unroll, unzip, lay my pad down, maybe my sleeping bag, get in with my boots on and then reach straight down and zip up with one hand, without taking my gloves off. If it is big enough, then I can put my pack in above my head which will keep it dry and keep the bivy off my face. That would be rad.

Kept me dry in the rain! The why the pole is behind the head it makes it easy to unzip the side a bit to give airflow while it's raining. Had a little condensation at the foot bed of my sleeping bag when it's completely zipped up but very minimal. Also, actually does roll up easily, air doesn't get stuck in it, it will slowly go through any part of it. Overall really happy with it.
